IMPACT ASSESSMENT

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a process of evaluating the likely environmental impacts of a proposed project or development, taking into account inter-related socio-economic, cultural and human-health impacts, both beneficial and adverse. Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is a requirement by NEMA before drilling a borehole in Kenya and other construction works. GROUND WATCH GLOBAL LTD usually does this exercise before we embark on our projects. We carry this to ensure that our quality services do not endanger the lives of the community either during the implementation or in the days to come. We offer EIA services to external construction works for example; commercial and residential houses, petrol stations, water treatment plants, dams, go-downs etc. After submission of the EIA report to national environmental management authority (NEMA) we do a follow-up to ensure a permit is given to our client. With the NEMA and WRMA license borehole drilling can commence.

Collaborating with other EIA/ EA Lead Experts and other stake holders in the provision of background information and baseline data on aspects of hydrogeology, hydrology, water resources, geological setting, mineral resources and ore deposits, aquifer settings and characteristics, geophysical data, engineering geology, geotechnical information, geomorphology, hydro-meteorology, soils, borehole data, water abstraction trends, water quality, land use etc. Also teaming up with other EIA/EA Lead experts in execution of bulk EIA study reports especially in projects where more than one expert is required.

We boast a team with great geologists and researchers who will leave no stone unturned in deriving the impact of any of our projects to the environment. With us, You are sure!
